Dear ally,

As you know, Governor Christie has succeeded since taking office on attacking workers rights, laying off teachers and cutting funding for the working poor and the environment with support from both parties. Too often, New Jersey’s elected officials stand up for party bosses and the rich at the expense of the 99% of working families who depend on good jobs, safe streets and great schools. That needs to change.

That’s why this April 28th and 29th, the New Jersey Working Families Alliance is continuing its leadership development training program to give aspiring leaders the tools they need to be the progressive champions we need.

Have you ever thought about running for office, or know someone who has? Next month’s training session will provide potential leaders with the cutting edge organizing and campaign skills they need to decide whether to make that leap and run for office.

Don’t forget to share with Facebook friends, your networks, and progressive leaders who you'd like to see holding political office in New Jersey. For more information about the Pre-Candidate Training or the Leadership Academy, contact me at leadership@njworkingfamilies.org.

Best,

*This April, we're partnering with Wellstone Action, MoveOn and the New Organizing Institute to once again bring a two-day Pre-Candidate Training to help identify and train progressive leaders across the state who support workers' rights, affordable housing, a clean environment and good public schools. The training is geared towards labor, community and social justice leaders who have not yet decided if they want to run for office, which office to run for or if they are ready to run, but could benefit anyone contemplating a campaign.
