Take Action, Protect
DACA Youth
President Trump’s cruel
and reprehensible decision to end DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals)
with a six-month delay is inhumane and devastating for families and communities
across the country. This program helped over 800,000 children and
young people to live and work in the United States without fear of
deportation. The children that DACA protects were children who were
brought here when they were so young they had no choice in the matter. They
have grown up here in the United States and they have no home other than the
United States. We cannot allow so many innocent children to suffer under our
watch.
The Latino Action
Network calls on Congress to pass permanent legislation that protects these
young people. We demand that Congress pass a “clean” DREAM Act to permanently
protect Dreamers from deportation that DOES NOT tie the lives of these 800,000
young men and women to a pointless and expensive border wall or escalated
border enforcement funding.
We need your help in the
months ahead to urge New Jersey’s Congressional delegation to act to protect
the Dreamers that are in danger of being deported due to the President’s
action. Here is what you can do:
1 - Contact your
Congressmember and demand they protect the nearly 1 million DREAMers and
support a CLEAN Dream Act.
